L214 n'est pas antispéciste
L'antispécisme est un courant de pensée théorisé par des philosophes anglo-saxons dans les années 70, et qui défend l'idée que l'espèce à laquelle appartient un animal n'est pas un critère pertinent pour décider de la manière dont on doit le traiter, et de la considération morale qu'on doit lui accorder.
Comprenez : Tous les animaux, humains ou pas, doivent recevoir de notre part, la même considération.
Sur le site internet de L214, une association activiste qui prône cette doctrine, on peut lire une citation de Singer, le premier théoricien de l'antispécisme : Nous devrions considérer également les intérêts de tous les êtres qui éprouvent des sensations, qui sont sensibles à la douleur et au plaisir, c’est-à-dire tous ceux dont la vie peut se passer bien ou mal et dont on peut dire qu’elle leur importe.
Mais sur la même page, on peut lire aussi un commentaire de L214 qui dit ceci : Il s’ensuit qu’il est difficilement justifiable de les utiliser comme matériel ou comme aliments sans nécessité.
L'auteur du texte introduit la notion de nécessité. Et c'est là qu'est démontrée selon moi l'absurdité de ce mouvement.
L'antispéciste théorise aujourd'hui, le cul posé sur les milliards d'animaux tués par l'Homme pour améliorer sa condition, une nouvelle conscience qui placerait l'animal au même niveau que l'humain dans l'échelle des valeurs. Mais si cet antispéciste (L214 en l’occurrence) introduit une notion de nécessité, ne valide-t-il pas qu'il est "parfois" nécessaire, pour sauver la vie d'un enfant par exemple, de tuer un animal par l'expérimentation ?
Tuer une souris pour tester un médicament qui va sauver des vies humaines, est-ce acceptable pour l'antispéciste ?
L214 semble dire que oui.
Mais, en même temps, sur son site, elle renvoie aux « Cahiers antispécistes ». Eux théorisent les choses de la manière suivante :
"Le spécisme est à l'espèce ce que le racisme et le sexisme sont respectivement à la race et au sexe: la volonté de ne pas prendre en compte (ou de moins prendre en compte) les intérêts de certains au bénéfice d'autres, en prétextant des différences réelles ou imaginaires mais toujours dépourvues de lien logique avec ce qu'elles sont censées justifier.
En pratique, le spécisme est l'idéologie qui justifie et impose l'exploitation et l'utilisation des animaux par les humains de manières qui ne seraient pas acceptées si les victimes étaient humaines.
Les animaux sont élevés et abattus pour nous fournir de la viande; ils sont pêchés pour notre consommation; ils sont utilisés comme modèles biologiques pour nos intérêts scientifiques; ils sont chassés pour notre plaisir sportif.
La lutte contre ces pratiques et contre l'idéologie qui les soutient est la tâche que se donne le mouvement de libération animale."
Cette doctrine pourrait être illustrée de la manière suivante : Il est aussi inacceptable d'élever des humains noirs dans des cages à des fins d'expérimentation médicale, que d'élever des souris pour sauver des êtres humains.
En l'espèce, L214 ne partage pas cette doctrine dont elle se réclame, et admet le spécisme. Donc déjà ce serait sympa d'arrêter de nous seriner les esgourdes avec ce terme.
Pour pousser plus loin la réflexion, je voudrais parler du mode de vie des humains en 2020. Les antispécistes, animalistes, et porteurs de la cause animale, vivent selon les principes de notre époque. Maisons, portables, voitures, avions, santé etc.
Et sur la base même de leur mode de vie, meurent des milliards d'animaux chaque année. Les gorilles d'Afrique pour le coltan des smartphones, les insectes pour l 'éclairage public ou fracassés sur les pare-brises, les vertébrés sensibles comme les taupes, campagnols, et tous les rongeurs en général lors du fauchage des moissons qui finissent dans les assiettes des végans. Sans parler des fondations d'une maison ou de l'abattage d'un arbre qui doit bien occire quelques bestioles au passage quand il se fracasse au sol de la forêt PEFC qui servira à construire le bureau sur lequel tes coudes sont appuyés en ce moment.
Bref. Un être humain qui respire aujourd'hui en 2020, est un des rouages de la mort de milliards d'animaux. Qu'il retwitte sa haine de la chasse, ou pas. Mais les antispécistes, qui n'ont même pas conscience de la dangerosité de leur dogme, choisissent de ne pas le voir pour se jeter sur trois papys qui attrapent des oiseaux avec des petits bâtons. C'est visible et confortable. La photo est moche. Je m'émeus. J'insulte un chasseur, et j'oublie mon réel impact en boulottant une poignée d'amandes bio.
L'antispécisme en tant que doctrine est indéfendable, et même les associations qui s'en réclament semblent s'en rendre compte.
Et si le spécisme est une réalité, et qu'on accepte le fait que l'être humain détruit son environnement pour améliorer sa condition, il serait temps que les donneurs de leçons se penchent sur les vrais problèmes écologiques, et pas sur les symboles.
Chasser, c'est naturel. Détruire, non.
Je pense qu'ensemble, sur ce principe, nous pouvons avancer pour plus de justice écologique.
